These two verses are dedicated to goddess kali.Both of them being in stark contrast to each other.Lets try deciphering the great kali,who devours time itself

And here for shakti worshippers like me...The goddess or the hindu divine female principle comes in...
The shakti worshippers believe in the union of Shiva and Kali(spouse of shiva)... a lot of questions come up,if Kali is Shivas wife who is parvati,Uma? well , every male deity is one part of that cosmic brahmam...the unmanifested cosmic principle...and shakti is his power...his root cause...
The Tantra as stated in the occult Atharva states that Shiva and Kali are the brahmam and his adya(unborn,ever existing ) shakti...
Now the Devi,is reverred in hinduism like brilliantly,The Devi bhagwatam describes Kali as Blue,Nila ghana(colour of fresh raincloud)...Her neck like of a swan...her hair like flowing water....her waist as slender as a supine lake and her regenerative organ,the yoni being the sole source of creation.....And she functions as MAA,MAYA,SHAKTI

Khadaghaste,mundhaste,Rundmalini,Raktdantika,Sarvakarinyayi,krishna,Adya,maha kali,mangala chandimchamundi,rinetri,bhairavi,nilavaruni,rudrarupini,shivapriya....
One of the most famous iconic hindu images is of Kali,standing atop her lord with a scimitar,a freshly severed human head and blood.
Hindu scriptures are full of thousands of the blessed names of the goddess..I cant even try writing all of them her(would be a pain writing all that beacuse of the sheer number of names, but i guess you get the picture)
Perhaps of all the hindu goddesses and probably world wide the most mysterious,the most misunderstood and the most intriguing is kali..
people seeing her first time would probably be intrigued or maybe scared(horrified is a nice word).
Shes black ,sexy,awesome.She is kali. Shes got free flowing big hair,color of the raincloud ...different people perceive her color differently but i take her as black...
Slender limbs,tall gait,luscious hair,beautiful lotus eyes,
See for it...the water is blue when you see it in the sea,wait till you cup it up and it turns colorless.
Same is with kali she appears black or blue outwardly,go deep and you'd find her colorless.
She wears munda(human skulls)..now i know seeing a pretty lady naked wearing skulls is not my idea of a perfect Sunday evening but lets get to its esoteric meaning...kali wears the skulls and bones as a symbol of ones ego.Since your head is one big source of ego its obvious shes a destroyer of ego.When you let go of it you'd be a better person,more refined id like to say.
Shes naked because shes infinite there's no cloth ever made to clothe her...can you imagine to engulf the sky in a single garment?
Shes fiery shes a mother personified,the puranics say o Devi you shine brighter than ten million suns you who is more fiery than the clouds of pralaya...o devi you are gentle as the mother.
Aint it ironic? You see her carrying a cleaver,a human head and then a mother? well thats kali for you!
The Devi is Krim personified...the tantra revers her as the ultimate brahmam ,one who devours even time itself!
The myths tell us of a story,when the devas(angels) were threatened by demons,specifically a demon raktabeeja...now this demon had a boon,whenever a drop of his blood fell on terra firma(read earth),it would grow into another raktabeeja! ..now since the angels weren't able to kill him they went to the trinity,brahma,vishnu and shiva...
shiva in turn smiled and lead em all to his beloved bhawani or parvati...the goddess was busy enjoying the blooming spring season.
They all requested her to help them out.
she mocked them "This is strange! even the great gods today are uncapable of getting rid of simple demon!
Truly times the only real god!"
she threw her head back and laughed ,cause whatever she said seemed to amuse her a bit,her soft laugh ironic to the situation.
Then she seemed to shiver a bit her anger flowing in full force! like the Ganges released from her sanctum..
she turned black and became kali,she ran into the battle field howling like the great

clouds of pralaya,hyenas an wolves behind her as her company,seated on the lion she went straight into the battlefield,she was naked,blue or black,4 armed carrying a trident,a cleaver,a chopped human head and a vessel.Wearing a garland of skulls around her ,bones as amulets,wearing a skirt of severed human arms...spitting fire of dissolution from her third eye,advancing atop a lion.
GODDESS KALI
seeing raktabeeja her anger knew no bounds! her eyes turned crimson red as of kinsum flower,she gave out a screech that shook the entire worlds...she fought with raktabeeja...its impossible to describe her skills,she was agile as a cheetah quick as a snake,strong as tens and thousands of elephants...
Now she knew about raktabeeja's boon,she chopped his head off! only to catch his blood in a vessel and drank it! ..now she got so absorbed in the process...that she began drinking the blood of all the demons in the battle field...she killed em all,only a few managed to flee...now the problem with shakti is she can get uncontrollable! and she got so angered and her anger was consuming the entire cosmos.
Now no god could dare stop her! The adya goddess was uncontrollable and they knew
if they went near her they would perish..so they went to her husband shiva or hara.
Now shiva knew that angered kali can be quiet something.
So shiva went to the battle field and layed down..while dancing and stomping on dead corpses she stepped on her husband...
Kali realized that and stuck her tongue out to show dismay.Kali was placated she transformed back into her all mother form, parvati .
lets get to this inside., kali the energy is dancing atop her purusha the matter to wake him up,she dosmesticates the ascetic.
Now thats why shes seen with her tongue out an please people! westerners think shes standing on her husband killing people blah blah.Get some info on that and am sure you guys will change your perceptions..
